Pitfalls of Quality Management System Framework in schools
The implementation process may be accompanied by some pitfalls, some pitfalls are but not limited to:
- Lack of management commitment (hence, resources).
- Staff may feel frustrated which may be caused by the top down approach of QMS, because the control is tight over the teacher’s professional work by standardized procedures.
- Consider that the implementation is very costly to maintain the system.
- Inability of the school staff (educators, administrators) to fully understand the new quality system and it can be recognized as a serious problem.
